Fundraisers
To provide funding for our community service programs, the CV Women’s Group conducts and sponsors fund raising events in the community including:
Father Daughter Valentine’s Dance
Every February, we host a special evening of dancing and entertainment for Gull Lake area girls from Young Fives through 6th grade and their escorts.
Richland Art Fair
The annual Art Fair is our largest fund-raising project, and features a variety of fine art work and original handcrafts from artists from all over Michigan and the Midwest region. Profits from the Art Fair fund several of our programs, which provide food and clothing as well as medical, dental and educational support to Gull Lake community members in need throughout the year.
For 2008, the Art Fair will be held in its traditional location at the Richland Village Square, at the intersection of M-89 and M-43, on Saturday, July 19, 2008, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. There will be no rain date.
This will be our 36th annual Art Fair, and it will again be a juried show. Jurying will be done from within our organization. Jury participants change from one year to the next, as can the quality of an artist's work. To ensure that your application can be accepted, you must send detailed photos of your work, no matter how many years you have participated in our Art Fair. Booth spaces will be 12' x 12'. Booths may be shared. However, booths and registrations are not transferable. Canopies are recommended, as the weather can be unpredictable. Double spaces may also be available. If you are interested in this option, note this on your application and send TWO separate checks. If a double space is NOT available, we will return one check.
